Villa: CON1630

Description

This is a prestigious villa with stunning views over the archipelago of La Maddalena and surrounded by the Mediterranean bush of the hill of Miata. The house was built following a dual concept. On the one hand the outdoor living is protected from the mistral wind thanks to a kind of internal courtyard. The latter has a large swimming pool in the shape of a dolphin and the barbecue with outdoor dining. On the other hand, the use of many floor-to-ceiling windows on both walls of the building allow a great sea view even from the courtyard and let plenty of light inside.

The sea and its view dictate the composition of the villa, along with the desire to create a private, reserved, and protected environment. Villa Sa Contissa looks like a great semicircle composed of different bodies that overlook the pool and the inner court. These units are linked by a succession of stone-faced columns framing floor-to-ceiling windows. A linear and contemporary architectural design perfectly set in the landscape, a language that is also linked to the Sardinian tradition.

The villa features an entrance hall with large closets, a fully equipped kitchen, a guest bathroom, a dining area, a large living room with view over both the sea and the pool, a master suite complete of dressing room and bathroom with tub and chrome-therapy shower, three large double bedrooms with walk-in closet and bathroom, a cinema-relaxation room, a fitness area with window looking inside the pool, a laundry and an additional food store. An external access leads to three more interconnecting bedrooms with private bathrooms. A swimming pool, a barbecue area with wood stove and fully equipped kitchen, an annex with two additional bedrooms, a garden and parking spaces complete the features of this great property. Air conditioning and alarm system function throughout the villa.

The Location

The hill of Miata is a few hundred metres away from the road that joins the Costa Smeralda to Baja Sardinia. It is not far from I Giardini di Porto Cervo (once Bagaglino), the famous Hotel Pitrizza, and the marina of Poltu Quatu, full of shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, hotels and other entertainments as well as an ideal starting point for excursions to the islands of La Maddalena. The centre of Porto Cervo is a two minute drive.

Nestled between sculptures of rocks Miata, has an enviable position, and enjoys beautiful views of Liscia di Vacca, the archipelago of La Maddalena and the often snow-capped mountains of Corsica. Cussorgia (in Gallura means “group of houses”) Miata includes 12 luxurious villas of unparalleled beauty, all with pools and built respecting the natural environment that surrounds them: the beauty of man’s art harmonizes with the beauty of nature.
